MLB 2K8 Cover Boy..

Next years edition of the MLB 2k franchise will have Mets' Shortstop Jose Reyes on the cover. Ben Brinkman, Major League Baseball 2K8 executive producer, was quoted, saying "Jose Reyes is a multi-talented player - a great baserunner, fielder and hitter, making him the perfect spokesperson for Major League Baseball 2K8." Apparently, Jose Reyes was shocked to hear that he got the cover. "This is the first time I have ever been on the cover of a video game and it is very exciting to be a part of the best video game out there," said Jose Reyes. For as long as I can remember, the Yankees shortstop, Derek Jeter, has been the cover boy. Jose Reyes isn't the only Mets infielder to have sported the cover of a recent video game. In April of this year, David Wright was on the cover of MLB '07 The Show. That game was one of the highest selling games in MLB history. Major League Baseball® 2K8 will be available spring 2008 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION®3 and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment systems, the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, and the Wii™ home video game system.
