I will go through all the signings, trades, and re-signings since December 20th, 2007...
December 20th..
- The Padres signed C Michael Barrett to a 1-year deal.
- The Mariners made a horrible move by signing SP Carlos Silva to a 4-year $48 million contract.
- The Royals signed RP Ron Mahay to a 2-year contract.
- The Philies slightly upgraded their team by signing OF Geoff Jenkins to a two-year contract with a mutual vesting option for 2010 and SP Chad Durbin to a one-year contract.
- The Tigers signed SP Dontrelle Willis to a three-year contract extension.
- The Rangers acquired OF Josh Hamilton from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for RHP Edinson Volquez and Minor League LHP Danny Herrera.
- The Rockies signed RP Luis Vizcaino on a two-year contract with a club option for 2010.
- The Indians signed former Met, RP Matt Ginter to a 1-year contract and invited him to spring training.
- The Mets signed RP Juan Padilla to a 1-year deal with an invitation to spring training.
- The Phillies signed utility OF So Taguchi to a one-year contract with a club option for 2009.
- The Marlins actually spent some money and signed Infielder Jose Castillo to a one-year deal.
- Nothing Happened.
- Mark Prior Agreed to a deal with the San Diego Padres. The deal is for $1 million Guaranteed and he can earn more than $3 million in incentives. The Mets made a lucrative proposal to him.
- The Royals signed C Miguel Olivo to a 1-year contract.
