Well at Least Feliciano Got Signed Today.


Johan Santana Update:

Kelly Thesier of MLB.com has reported that the Mets have been granted an addition 2-hours to work out an extension with Johan Santana. The deal is being held up on the length of the contract. Santana is seeking a 6-year deal, while the Mets are hold firm on a 5-year deal. Thesier is reporting that Santana will likely sign a six-year extension for an annual average salary of about $23 million a year, on top of the $13.25 million owed to him this season. A signing bonus is also expected to be able around $150 million.

The Mets are close...

On a positive note Perdo Feliciano signed a 1-year for $1,025,000 deal to avoid an arbitration hearing. Feliciano has been the Mets lefty speciality out of the bullpen for the Mets the last two year. Posting solid numbers going 2-2 with a 3.09 ERA in 78appearances in 2007. He's was one of the bright spots in the bullpen last season.
